Katana Sushi— A moving dish where tradition meets innovation —

Imagine this. A vivid piece of sushi placed before you. But this is not ordinary sushi.

Melting texture of tuna, Fresh crunch of white fish, Smooth mouthfeel of salmon.

The essence of Katana Sushi lies in our expertise, built over 50 years of selecting the best fish.

Every morning, we find the finest fish at the market. This skill is the fruit of half a century of experience.

And amazingly, these are served on crispy and fragrant monaka—the largest in the world.

This is Katana Sushi.

An entirely new sushi experience created by a fishmonger with a 50-year history in Osaka.

Why monaka?

Because after enjoying the sushi, you can savor the monaka as a dessert.

An edible plate—this surprising idea delights your taste buds.

And since this monaka is made from rice flour, it is gluten-free. Anyone can enjoy it with peace of mind.

The Katana Sushi store in Minamisemba, Osaka, is located in a special area where history and modernity intersect.

This area once flourished as a wholesaler district called 'Semba Toki-ya' since the Edo period. Products from across Japan were gathered here and then spread across the country and the world.

That historic marketplace is now a cultural hub of innovation. This transformation mirrors the spirit of Katana Sushi.

Sushi, Japanese swords, and monaka—all with a thousand years of tradition—combined with modern technique and creativity. Katana Sushi invites you on a journey through Japanese food culture. An unforgettable experience awaits.
